i thought that peeps higher on the hemospectrum were basically gods, meaning that the only way would could kill fef would be through literal decap and slicin dicin her body up.

also was convinced that kanaya was just an avid vampire fan instead of an actual vampire and drank blood for shits n giggles.

RE: When I was a new in the Homestuck Fandom, I . . .
Oh BOY do I have a lot of these because I literally went into homestuck with NO IDEA what it actually was. Whenever I asked my friends to explain the story they just said it was too confusing! I got a few pages in and understood why lol
HERE WE GO
I thought the troll's hemospectrum went from warm colors to cool colors. I also thought that Gamzee and Nepeta were best friends. I also thought that the alpha kids played the game alongside the alpha trolls, and when Calliope was first introduced I thought she was Kankri! I thought Dave and Karkat were the same person. I thought Equius was a really cool guy and everyone likes him and he was the leader and that he was the great engineer guy that helped everyone, which was a big disappointment. I also thought that Eridan was a "precious sweet baby uwu" and Feferi was kind of horrible for leaving him.

Not my proudest moments ":\

RE: When I was a new in the Homestuck Fandom, I . . .
I'm still kind of new to the fandom, but I can share some of the stuff. I thought Homestuck was a stupid romance comic about a wedding (probably because I heard about it in comments for a song called Homewrecker), then I heard it was a game, and that there was trolls, and I was just overall confused and didn't really care. Then, I finally met someone who told me what it actually was, and started to read it. I heard something about Trickerster mode, and assumed it was something all the trolls would turn into once the timer went out. I also thought the alpha kids were gender swapped versions of the beta, and was confused on why 'Dave' wasn't a female and 'Rose' wasn't a male, until it clicked that they were the guardians.

When I was new in the homestuck fandom I thought that the carapacians were actually just robots.

RE: When I was a new in the Homestuck Fandom, I . . .
I didn't even READ Homestuck full through when I first got into the fandom. I read maybe up to Act 3 and then went straight to the MSPaint wiki to figure out what the heck was going on. I only just recently sat down and read the full webcomic "cover to cover", from the first page of Act 1 all the way to the Epilogue.

I'm a fast reader (I can finish Harry Potter in under a day), and a full read of Homestuck took me a MONTH. I even skipped the pesterlogs that I've read through before, and it still took forever! I pity my slow-reading comrades and the hell they must go through while doing a full readthrough.

Fortunately, I spared myself the shame of a shitty first fantroll. Ciphra was well thought out and is fully constrained to the given troll stipulations of the canon. (Still trying to fix her typing quirk, though.)

Oh man, on the note of not even reading the comic...
I'm rereading Homestuck now for the big double digits birthday so to speak, and...wow.
I really skimmed.
"Skimmed" is probably too generous a term.
I had NO idea what was going on, I just liked the characters when I first entered!
Hopefully I'll get an idea of what actually happened in the comic I've spent years loving after I'm done Big Grin
