You toss it, and a loud squeak comes from the little doll. Your Pop looks confused, and whirls around for a second, paranoid that you were somewhere around. You might have gotten caught, but Griffin took the hit for you, running out and pretending he wanted to play. Score!
He's now playing tug of war with your Pop. You YOUTH ROLL under the table, in close enough range to reach your present with that drone. You attach it to the claw you found, first. Then, you turn it on, and send it floating past the two of them. The good news is, it grabs the box, and floats it over to you.
Score!!
The bad news is, however, your dad happened to see something going under the table under the corner of his eye.
Oh no.

> Alex: Make a break for it.
You scurry off to your room and shut the door, with your Pop on your tail. You barely make it. And now, for the moment of truth...
You start to tear open the present, and...

You've unlocked new characters. Who will you choose?

You are now the nerd.
A young girl stands in her bedroom on a horrendously stormy night. Her eyes dart around the room, and outside the window once or twice, signaling that this girl was... scared of something.

> Commence the NERDY-SCIENCY TIME.
Oh, heavens, now is definitely not the time to get into your oddballish shenanigans. You're not even a big scientist, you consider yourself more of a... conspiracy theorist...?
Regardless, this young lady does have a name. What could it be?

> Hannah "Miley" Montana
Ugh! To even imply that you were that embodiment of the worst parts of pop culture physically hurt your soul. Try again.

> Maya Schemata
A fine name, but not your own... however, you're kind of fond of that name, for some reason.

> Lena Russo
Ah, there it is!

> Lena: Speculate on what's on your mind.
Your name is LENA. You're currently pacing your room, thinking of all the ways everything could go wrong in your head. You've just been informed via Pesterchum that your friend, Alex, is trying to obtain his birthday copy of Sburblin, a game that's been played for generations now. Every 20 years or so, the planet is destroyed. However, this game essentially gives the players a chance to restart their world for a second shot. It's all really complicated, and you've gone through tons of explanations from your Gran, each one making less sense than the last. But apparently, once all 4 of your friends have a copy, it marks the beginning of the end, and Alex is the last one to receive his. You feel like you should prepare, but you probably have some time before the session starts, and you need to find a way to calm down.

> Lena: Observe room.
As you can tell by the VARIOUS PICTURES AND PHOTOS OF GHOST SIGHTINGS PINNED ON YOUR WALL, you’re hugely into the paranormal. Well, half “into”, half “scared out of your wits of”. It’s like almost getting hit by a bus. The adrenaline of a good, scary book is what really hooks you.
You also have posters covering your wall from some of your FAVORITE FANDOMS AND SHOWS. Stranger Things, Supernatural, The X Files, hell even Goosebumps gives you the heebie jeebies, and you LOVE IT. Granted, you’re not only into spooky things. You just love Netflix shows, for some reason, especially this NEW THING you’re into called RIVERDALE.
Your room is covered head to toe in books of ALL KINDS. Your PET HAMSTER, CREAMPUFF, relaxes in her cage on your shelf. Where the books should be. You like playing with her sometimes, too. And, well, yes, you do enjoy a couple video games.

What will you do?
[Do something relaxing?]
[Reread the conversation that made you so uneasy?]
[Start up your own copy of the game?]

Okay. So all that really did for you is give you a panic attack, and something to do. You're really not looking forward to this.
What will you do?
[Do something to calm yourself down?]
[Start game session?]
