Clay: Equip Kate to strife specibus

Kate: Try to finish off imp.

You still don't really want to be fighting these things, but you don't want to let your friends down even more. You do your best to worm your way around all the allies that are now crowded around you and land a hit.

To hit: 1d20+Habitus = 20+4 = 24 (Critical!)
Damage: 1d4+Mangrit = 2-1 = 1
Damage: 1d4 = 1(+1) = 2


You land a devastating CRITICAL HIT! Unfortunately, that doesn't make you hit much harder, especially not with your downright puny fighting spirit, and you only deal 2 damage to IMPB. IMPB is barely holding on to consciousness at this point.

Clay: Equip Kate to strife specibus.

That would be ridiculous! Of course you can't equip Kate to your strife specibus.

You don't have an unallocated strife specibus to equip her to!

The imp wasn't in the best of health, so you thought a quick hit would knock it out. That obviously didn't happen, and since you didn't plan very far ahead in your panicked state, you decide to just turn and duck behind the cruxtruder. Clay, convinced you're safer there than in the heat of battle, stays where he is.

Jack: Back off of the imp that you are attacking right now, and go to the imp who is near death. Attempt to team up with the others and quickly finish it off!

You look over your shoulder to see the rest of your team wrestling with the other imp. They're struggling without their leader! And you've been over here, neglecting your duties by fighting alone.

To hit: 1d20+Habitus = 15+0 = 15
Damage: 1d6+Mangrit = 6+2 = 8


You rush over to IMPB and swing hard. Your bat hits, dealing 8 damage! To your surprise, your bat doesn't stop at the imp's body and completely goes through as the scrub explodes in a puff of smoke.
Jack: Reap the spoils, if there are any
Lisa: Attack Imp A
Jack: Reap the spoils, if there are any.

When the smoke clears, JACK picks up the following drops:

BUILD GRIST x14
IMP ESSENCE x1

Lisa: Attack Imp A.

You can't, unfortunately. You already attacked this round!

Even with your low STRATAGEM, you know your odds of victory aren't very high. Instead of giving up, you give one last shot. You run at JACK and jump onto his back, pulling his hair and otherwise being an overall nuisance.

To hit: 1d20+Habitus = 9+0 = 9

Yikes. You miss and fall flat onto the ground.

You better hope there's not an imp hell because you're about to burn in it.

Wow you miss too what the heck.
